Born in Johannesburg, raised mostly in Cape Town after stints in the United Kingdom and United States. Studied at Rhodes University. I write about the intersection between popular culture and politics, social movements, radical politics and the politics of media. I also dabble in marxism, communist theory, hip hop and basic ranting. I’ve contributed to publications such as the Mail and Guardian, Jacobin, Amandla, the Daily Maverick, Insurgent Notes, Counterpunch, Ceasefire, Mahala and others. This blog is meant to be a spot where I collect my writings collectively and attempt to hustle a fan base-cause I need to eat.
